Robbe, 3213, Light Thing M.
Based loosely on the Pitts S 12, the Light Thing is a compact park-fly model which is easy to handle. Like the full-size machine, the aeroplane is fully aerobatic.
The biplane can be set up in any way you like, from a 'tame' trainer to an extremely agile aerobat. The excess power of the brushless motor is quite sufficient for vertical manoeuvres such as hovering and torquerolls. The Light Thing becomes even more manoeuvrable if a second aileron servo is fitted, and the ailerons mixed into the elevator function, operating as flaps.
This model is easy to transport, and is assembled from lightweight wooden components covered in translucent film. Completing the model boils down to installing the motor and receiving system. If you don't even have time for that, you can purchase the ARF version with the motor installed, and the servos fitted and connected.
