The HYPERION is a high performance thermal glider with features that are unlikely to be found elsewhere in this price range. Completely manufactured in GRP shell construction, the model has, among other things, a CFRP-reinforced and enormously spacious fuselage with air intakes and landing skid, a 3-piece wing with 3.40m span and an easy-to-mount pendulum tailplane.

High quality construction
The HYPERION is completely built in full GRP shell construction and already elaborately painted in the mold. The spacious fuselage is reinforced with carbon straps on the side walls, giving it a high degree of stability even in the event of rough landings. The wings are also reinforced with CFRP.

Modified HN-354 wing profile
Due to the design with the modified HN-354 airfoil, the required flight characteristics can be realized at any time by warping the wing. If you have to overcome a downwind field quickly, unwarp the flaps a little - the Hyperion immediately picks up speed and leads you to the next thermal bubble. Once there, the wing is slightly positively warped and the HYPERION immediately converts any sign of thermals into altitude.

High degree of prefabrication
The HYPERION is available as a "naked" ARF version and as a PNP version with built-in electronics. Both variants feature an extremely high degree of prefabrication, as you have come to expect from Staufenbiel's fully GRP models. The PNP version also features a powerful and already built-in brushless outrunner from DYMOND and 6 built-in and ready-wired DYMOND digital servos with metal gears and aluminum housing. Also included are a CAM carbon flap propeller and an aluminum spinner. If you prefer to equip the glider to your own requirements and wishes you can build your own HYPERION with the ARF version.

Plenty of space
The model has an enormous amount of space inside the hull. In addition, quick and comfortable access is ensured by the large and removable canopy.

Landing skid
On the underside of the fuselage, the thermal glider has a pronounced landing skid that provides maximum stability during rough landings.
