The new generation programmable microprocessor controller for brushless sensorless motors for recreational and sport aircraft models powered by LiPo / Li-Ion / LiFe batteries. Compared to the previous generation of FOXY controllers, a number of new features have been added to the programming options, and the G2 controllers use advanced optimized control technology that significantly improves throttle response and power stage control efficiency. The controller design takes into account the high sustained load and durability required for large models with a larger number of servos. The governors are equipped with a powerful switching BEC with an optional output voltage that supplies power to the receiver and servos (normal and HV) from the drive battery. A special FOXY G2 LED programming card, sold separately, is used to easily set up the controller.

DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONS OF THE CONTROLLER
- The controller is equipped with a powerful 32-bit ARM-M4 microprocessor with a clock frequency of up to 72 MHz and it is compatible with most brushless motors.
- It is suitable for most aircraft brushless motors powered by 3-8S LiPo/ Li-Ion/ LiFe batteries.
- Special supply stabilizer for the microprocessor for high noise immunity and reduction of the risk of loss of control.
- Optimized control technology greatly improves throttle response and power stage control efficiency and lowers controller temperature.
- Powerful switching BEC with the output voltage adjustable to 5.2, 6.0 or 7.4 V, a continuous load of 8 A and peak load of 20 A. The BEC is isolated from the other regulator circuits and can maintain proper operation even if the power board burns out with the regulator MOSFET transistors.
- Starts normal/soft/very soft are suitable for normal propeller planes and models with electric impeller.
- Easy programming and adjustment by transmitter or Programming card KAVAN PRO.
- Using a special programming cable to connect the controller to the LED programming card, the user can program the controller anytime, anywhere (for details, refer to the Programming card KAVAN PRO manual).
- Brake modes Normal/Proportional/Reverse (especially Reverse mode) can effectively shorten the approach to landing.
- A series of protection functions: Start protection, controller thermal protection, capacitor thermal protection, overload protection, overcurrent protection, abnormal supply voltage protection, and control signal loss protection effectively extend the life of the controller.
- Gas calibration to perfectly match the control signal of your RC set.

PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS:
- Brake type: brake off, normal brake (with brake intensity adjustable in 7 levels), proportional brake (controlled by the throttle): 0-20% of the throttle channel deflection corresponds to 100-0% of the brake, 20-100% of the throttle channel deflection corresponds to 0-100% of the throttle), reverse (allows switching on motor reverse via another channel with a switch).
- Brake intensity: Brake intensity is adjustable from level 1 to level 7 for Normal Brake mode.
- Motor switch-off mode: Soft switch-off: The controller gradually reduces the power to 50% of full power within 3 seconds after voltage protection is activated. Hard switch-off: The motor is shut down immediately.
- Number of LiPo cells: We recommend manual setting for 100% reliable voltage protection function. The controller automatically calculates the number of cells of the connected battery according to the "3.7 V per cell" rule if you select automatic detection.
- Voltage protection: The threshold for voltage protection can be set in the range from 2.8 to 3.8 V / cell. The protection can also be turned off completely.
- BEC voltage: BEC voltage of the supply stabilizer is adjustable to 5.2 V, 6.0 V or 7.4 V.
- Start-up: Normal startup (instant startup), Soft startup (with slow start for motors with large propellers, gearboxes or smaller impellers), Very soft startup (with very slow start for motors with large propellers, gearboxes or impellers 90 mm and larger).
- Timing: Adjustable in the range 0-30°.
- Direction of rotation: Clockwise/counterclockwise.
- DEO Freewheel: This function can be turned on or off. It can result in better linearity or smoother gas response.

REGULATOR PROTECTION FUNCTIONS:
- Start-up protection: the governor measures the engine speed during the start-up process. If the engine speed stops rising or if the rise is no longer stable, the governor evaluates it as a false start. If the throttle is less than 15% at this time, the controller will automatically attempt to restart the engine. If the throttle is more than 15%, you must pull the throttle all the way down to restart the engine.
- Thermal protection of the controller: the engine will "stutter" when the controller temperature exceeds 110 °C, indicating that thermal protection has been activated. If you pull the throttle below 60% at that moment, the "stuttering" will disappear and the regulator will provide the power corresponding to the throttle channel. If you move the throttle channel above 60%, the "stutter" will appear again. The temperature of the regulator must not exceed 70 °C when switched on, otherwise the engine cannot be started.
- Protection in case of loss of gas signal: The controller will shut down the motor immediately if the signal is missing for 0.25 s to avoid even greater damage and risk from a rapidly rotating rotor or propeller. As soon as a normal signal is received, the controller resumes normal operation.
- Overload protection: The controller will shut down or automatically restart the motor if the load suddenly increases to a very high value.
- Overcurrent protection: The controller immediately switches off the motor when the peak current consumption exceeds the maximum permissible value. It then resumes normal operation. If the current consumption then still exceeds the maximum permissible value, the motor is switched off completely.

Tip: When you switch on the controller for the first time, first calibrate the gas channel according to the instructions. Only then can the controller be used and other parameters set using the transmitter or the Programming card KAVAN PRO KAV32.31035.
