The HEPF MicroVario is a sensitive altimeter / variometer that uses the latest MEMS technology to achieve high accuracy while maintaining miniature dimensions.
The sensor can detect tiny changes in air pressure to indicate the rate of climb / descent.

The Micro Vario is plugged directly into the receiver's telemetry port. Alternatively, a servo extension cable could be inserted between the receiver and the Micro Vario.
Telemetry and settings
The device is compatible with the JETIBOX and this can be used for programming.
The JETIBOX menu is divided into three sections:
- Actual values - Displays the current telemetry values (altitude, variation, pressure, temperature) along with minimum and maximum values.
- Reset min / max - Simultaneously press the buttons left + right to reset all minima and maxima.
- Settings
- Language - You can select the language of the JETIBOX screen.
- Vario Sensitivity - defines the filter quantity for the pressure sensor data. Increasing the sensitivity gives you a faster response to changes in altitude. Please note that the specified noise can also occur. (Default value: medium)
- Sink rate - the sink rate of the aircraft when there are no thermal effects. The value of the sink rate is added to the rate of climb. This means that heat flows are localized more precisely.
Example: If the model flies at a nominal sink rate of 0.5 m / s, the Vario is noiseless. As soon as the model enters thermal, a beep will sound (although the aircraft may still be sinking).
- Sealevel Pressure - The sea level pressure is used as a reference to calculate the absolute altitude. To get the most accurate height calculation, set the pressure at your location to sea level. The International Standard Atmosphere Model defines the sea level pressure at 1013 hPa.
- Round Altitude - turn on or off the rounding of the altitude values displayed on the transmitter. Relative and absolute height around to full meters, no decimal part.
- Altitude Alarm - You can set an altitude alarm. *)
- Vario alarm - you can set an alarm value for excessive rising or falling. *)
- Alarm Interval - sets the time between alarm announcements.
- Service - In this menu you can display the device version and reset it to the factory default configuration.
*) The alarm setting is compatible with duplex and Hott systems.
Futaba and Multiplex systems do not offer any configuration for wireless devices. Telemetry transmission is possible with the following fixed sensor slots:
