Grunau Baby 1:4 kit
The Grunau Baby was created in 1932 as an improvement on the ESG 31 Stanavo developed by Edmund Schneider and Wolf Hirth. It soon became the most popular training glider and many pilots flew their Silver C on this model.
Although the glider was further developed over the years up to series III, type II b was the most popular. This series was therefore also used as the model for our scale models. The model was built exactly to a scale of 1:6 and 1:4. No changes were made to the external shape, so that the rib spacing, end strips and planking also match the original. The wing is scattered like the original.
The angular shape of the fuselage means that the model is not as difficult to build as a Minimoa, for example, but experience in working with balsa wood is absolutely essential.
The kit contains all wooden parts carefully milled as well as all metal and linkage parts.
