The Stark Turbulent D was one of the first aircraft to take to the air following the re-authorization of aviation after World War II. Through the developer Wilhelm Stark, plans of a French amateur aircraft became a piece of German aviation history. Stark modified the original in accordance with German certification regulations and improved it in several respects. Thus, the aircraft received a reinforced fuselage structure, a closed cockpit and a steerable tail gear. The Stark Turbulent D was produced in a very small series.

Our model is built in scale 1:3 and impresses with its voluminous appearance on every model airfield. With a wingspan of 2.3 meters, the Stark Turbulent D is an eye-catcher that cannot be overlooked. The wings are of wooden rib construction and still need to be covered. The fuselage is already built from wood and important formers have been glued in place.

The drive motor is covered by a large GRP canopy that is easily removable for good access to the motor. The canopy can be fully removed and equipped with cockpit instruments. The corresponding decals are included in the kit. The landing gear consists of an aluminum frame with large rubber wheels, making it easy to take off and land even on an uneven grass runway. The rear landing gear is steerable.

The Stark Turbulent D is equipped with either an internal combustion engine or an electric motor. For example, SAITO engines of the 35-60 cm? class can be used, which also give the model a true-to-the-original sound. For the friends of electric flight we recommend brushless motors actro 40 with 8-10 Lipo. With this equipment an easy aerobatics is possible. Due to the low wings, the model is just too stable in the air and can hardly be upset. It is therefore also suitable for beginners in the class of larger models. The true to original decal sheet is included in the kit.
