Stratos is a real retro model and is made from parts from the original series from the 1980s. The model was voted model of the year in 1983.

The model is built entirely from wood. The construction plan provides for 2-axis control. Stratos is a light thermal glider that can also be flown very well in light upwind conditions. The low-drag wing profile and the slim, elegant fuselage shape ensure a flat glide angle at higher flying speeds. Nevertheless, Stratos is not a speed model but a cosy thermal glider that knows how to use the smallest of updrafts.

The kit is aimed at retro enthusiasts who enjoy building models from the 1980s.
