Completely finished model of a powered glider made of the nearly indestructible extruded polyolefin foam (EPO) with a brushless motor. Controllable ailerons, rudder and elevator. The model is equipped with a brushless motor, controller and 4 servos. Complete RC set in mode 2 with 8-channel RC set T8FB in mode 1, a 3S LiPo and fast charger.
Although externally it retains the features of the original model Alpha 1500, the model ALPHA 1500 V2 is a completely new model with different dimensions, a new wing profile and a more elaborated construction. New shapes and advances in foam technology ensure that all parts are much finer and more precise. The two-piece wing is now bolted to the fuselage, as are the tail surfaces, making the model very space efficient. A one-class more powerful motor with 30A regulator and 3S LiPo battery instead of the original 2-cell pack provide enough power not only for normal motorglider flight, but also for aerobatics. The ALPHA 1500 V2 model offers the experienced pilot the possibility to have a lot of fun!
ALPHA 1500V2 is an elegant motorglider with a large wing and controllable ailerons, rudder and elevator, powered by a powerful brushless motor. A robust yet very lightweight construction made of EPO foam guarantees excellent resistance to damage in the event of an accident or facilitates repair if damage has already occurred. A lightweight LiPo battery with a large capacity is used to power the motor. The model is controlled by an 8-channel RC set 2.4 GHz FHSS, which guarantees high immunity to interference. We just took care that you do not have stress with this model and your first steps are not complicated.
The fuselage with the mounted C2835-1200 motor, KAVAN R-30B regulator, rudder and elevator servos is made of EPO foam. The canopy is removable with a magnetic catch. The two-piece wing is also made of EPO foam, ailerons are controlled by two servos hinged in the wing by short direct wire linkages. The wing halves are joined with a connector made of 4 mm steel wire, they are attached with a plastic connecting plate and fixed to the fuselage with a pair of screws. The tail units in the classic arrangement are made of EPO, they are controlled by Bowden cables. They are fixed to the fuselage with a pair of screws. The folding propeller 8,5x6" (the diameter is given by the spinner with the larger diameter and longer center section) uses standard blades 8x6". Cooling of the motor, regulator and batteries is aided by additional cooling air intakes on the sides of the nose, and the necessary outlet for heated air is at the base of the fuselage in the space under the wing.
Flight preparation involves only bolting on the tail surfaces, joining the wing halves and attaching them to the fuselage, installing the receiver and connecting the drive battery. Controlled are ailerons, rudder, elevator and engine speed.
To control the model, you will need at least a 4-channel RC set. It is ideal to use at least a 5-channel computer RC set. This allows aileron servos to be controlled independently so that ailerons can be easily differentiated and or mixed as an aerodynamic brake. You can further enhance the control of the model by programming dual rate deflections or exponential deflections.
To power the ALPHA 1500 V2 model, you need a LiPo battery 11.1 V with a capacity of 1000-1300 mAh and load capacity at least 20C.
ALPHA 1500 V2 is suitable for beginners under the supervision of an experienced pilot, as well as for those who want to fly for recreational relaxation. The flight characteristics are good and simple and the model control is precise. The model introduces you to control around all three axes as well as proper coordinated control with rudder, elevator and ailerons. This experience is useful when you start flying your first aerobatic model or a (semi)scale of any kind. By changing the aspect ratios of the servo and rudder levers, you can set deflection magnitudes in a wide interval. The novice pilot starts with small and safe deflections. The experienced pilot sets large deflections that also allow a bit of basic acrobatics - loops, barrel rolls, turns Alpha 1500 V2 manages very well and easily with the help of the motor or even without it! The motor power is sufficient even for a very steep climb, so the climb to sufficient altitude for suitable thermals is not long! Alpha 1500 V2 reacts sensitively even to weak thermals, thanks to precise control around all axes the model flies perfectly even in tight thermals.
