At the end of 1940, the US Air Force was looking for a new training aircraft to replace the obsolete AT-6. In 1950, the US Air Force ordered 266 aircraft of the T-28 series; a total of 1194 of these aircraft were produced, which were also sold and used outside the USA.

The true-to-scale replica of the T-28D is made of HypoDur® foam. Boot-friendly dimensions, outstanding flight characteristics and unrivalled attention to detail are the unmistakable features of our T-28D. The scope of delivery includes the tripod undercarriage; the T-28D can be flown with or without undercarriage. When used without undercarriage, we recommend fitting a 2-blade propeller. The model is controlled via the elevator, rudder and ailerons as well as the motor control. All control surfaces are designed as gap-free elastoflaps to maximise the control surface effect.

As a special feature, the model is equipped with the new X3-Control gyro system. This stabilises the model in flight around all three axes and holds it in the desired flight position. Especially in windy weather conditions, the model is noticeably smoother in the air!

The Trojan is 90% prefabricated, the decals are already applied to the model. All components such as servos, controller and brushless motor are already installed in the model. The wing is attached to the fuselage with two screws. The T-28D is powered by a brushless outrunner with 1,300kV in direct drive. The true-to-void 3-blade propeller gives the model powerful traction at high speed. The motor is controlled by a 20A Skywalker controller, which enables particularly sensitive control of the motor. An nVision LiPo battery 2s 7.4V / 900mAh (not included) is used as the drive battery.

In flight, the T-28D is in a class of its own! Whether flying at a leisurely pace or at speed - the model always sits securely on the rudder. The X3 gyro system opens up new possibilities for spectacular aerobatics. During landing, the model impresses with its stable flight behaviour and perfect control response to all rudder commands.
