Description:
Completely finished high performance thermal glider with a wingspan of 1800mm made of the virtually indestructible extruded polyolefin foam (EPO) with a carbon fiber tail boom. Built in is the C2714-1450 brushless motor with a 7x6" folding propeller, R-20B speed controller and 4 micro servos. Controlled are aileron, rudder, elevator and motor speed. For 3S LiPo 1200-1600 mAh (min. 20C).

Airplane models are usually built as miniature versions of real airplanes. FALKE 1800 was developed in a different way. The popular model The Little FALKE was modified by our designers. This is how the high-performance RC thermal glider FALKE 1800 with a wingspan of 1800 mm was created.

The front part of the model fuselage is made of highly resistant EPO foam (extruded polyolefin). The tail boom is formed by a carbon fiber tube. A C2714-1450 brushless electric motor with a 7x6" folding propeller and a KAVAN R-20B governor with BEC is installed in the nose. The cabin cover is removable and is attached with a pin in the front and a magnet in the rear. In the bow you will find enough space for a drive battery and receiver. The rudder and elevator servos are located in the fuselage under the wing, the rudders are controlled by the Bowden cables.

The wing of the model made of EPO foam consists of two parts with a carbon fiber strip and a steel wire connector. To the fuselage it is attached with two plastic screws. Ailerons are controlled independently by two servos with short straight wire rods.

Removable V-tails are also made of EPO foam, to the fuselage they are attached with a plastic screw.

The model is powered by a C2714-1450 class brushless motor with a 20A KAVAN R-20B regulator.

For power supply you need a LiPo 3-cell pack with a capacity of 1200-1600 mAh with a minimum load of 20C. Choose a concrete type to maintain the correct center of gravity position as much as possible without any other ballast.

You can also use a 4-channel RC set with mixer for Delta to control the model. In the basic version, ailerons are connected to one channel with a Y-cable. Of course, it is ideal to use at least a 6-channel computer RC set, which allows independent control of ailerons by two servos and a mix for aerodynamic brake. (In this case, both ailerons control up). This is also possible with the affordable Radiolink AT9S, AT10II, Futaba T6K or T10J transmitters. In this case the Y-cables of the ailerons in the fuselage have to be replaced by two single (15-30 cm) extension cables. In the manual, of course, there is also a detailed table with a proven standard setting of the rudder deflections (including mixer), so you can easily prepare FALKE 1800 for flight.
