Here we would like to present the latest model from the "Big Scale class" of the manufacturer RMC from the Czech Republic.
This Lunak was designed for a very high scale fidelity, which made the production of the original model and the corresponding moulds very expensive. The prototype of the LF-107 had its maiden flight in June 1948, shortly after the Second World War. The original was developed and built by Rudý Letov. At a gliding exhibition and a competition in Switzerland the Lunak attracted attention. The flight performance coupled with the excellent aerobatic qualities and an unprecedented design attracted the interest of the visitors.
The original was a complete wooden aircraft, but our replica was a complete high-tech model in GRP/CFRP sandwich construction. A lot of attention was paid to make the surface of the model look like the original, so you can find rivets, fillets and many more details on the model. Even the rib construction of the original hull was copied by deliberate curvatures on the model.
To achieve this high level of detail, 17 moulds are needed to build this model. This shows that we do not have an off-the-shelf model here.
The model of the Lunak is suitable for every pilot with tug experience. It goes from slow to very fast to fly scale aerobatics.
The model is delivered in yellow (Ral 1006) with markings according to the customer's wishes and some decals. Wing bags are included in the delivery.
