Glass wing H-101 Orginal:

The H-101 Salto is a glider. It was designed by Ursula Hänle, the then wife of the creator of glass wing airplanes, Eugen Hänle. Its maiden flight was on March 6, 1970. The H-101 Salto was built primarily for glider aerobatics, but is also suitable for cross-country flying because of its comparatively good glide ratio.

Valenta model:

Like the original, the Salto was built in full GRP construction. As scale 1:3,5 was chosen. With the winglets, the model has very good thermal characteristics. If you take them off, the wingspan is reduced to 3,930 mm and now you get a model with great aerobatic characteristics, which leaves almost nothing to be desired. Due to the moderate flying weight of 5,8 - 6,2 kg and the used airfoil HQ 2,5/12 the model is not critical and can be used unproblematic on slopes as well as on level ground. The original end-bars with rotary airbrakes have been replaced by effective flaps for use on slopes, and these have also proven themselves with the HQ used. The model is ready except for the system installation and the rudder linkage. The canopy is also ready mounted and locked. As wing connector a carbon square rod with the dimensions 16 x 39 x 560 mm is used.Salto - H-101 in front of mountain scenery The wheel is ready mounted and the landing flaps( double locked, red anodized) in the wing installed. As servo should be used in the wing a 13 mm at the aileron and flaps. The landing flaps should be equipped with 2 e.g. HS 85. In the tailplane one servo with 10 mm is installed for each rudder.

The Salto flies excellent in this version with the 90mm +Jet folding impeller, an installed open duct inlet ring on 6S with approx. 3.5Kg thrust.
With an additional 6S 5000mAh battery in the center of gravity, run times of over 6 minutes can be achieved.
