The possible areas of application are the outer edges of car bodies, sheet metal, plastics, glass panels etc.. This edge protector (in U-profile form) has an external dimension of 3.5 x 5mm. The clamping range covers material thicknesses of 0.1 - 2mm. The material is very soft and flexible, allowing it to be placed around any curve, no matter how tight. Sharp or irregularly shaped edges can be finished with it, offering protection against unintentional tearing and allowing otherwise sharp edges to be touched safely. The profile has the color signal black matt similar to RAL color table 9004. The formulation is Pb and Cd-free and contains no plasticizers. It is recommended to apply a drop of superglue in some places to fix the edge protection in place, even in problematic areas such as wheel arches and sharp angles.
