The Z-Spinners combine the advantages of the CN-Spinners (Cool Nose with cooling air openings) and the angled Z-centre pieces. The angled aluminium centre sections make the folding propeller blades fit even closer to the fuselage, thus ensuring less drag during soaring. The spinners with the centre pieces are designed for slim E-sailplane fuselages, but can also be advantageous for wooden fuselages in box construction, for example, if they are ground round.

The centre pieces of the spinner sizes 32-42mm are interchangeable, so for example 38mm spinner caps can be operated with the centre piece of 42mm spinners. These combination options offer further optimisation potential, as they allow finer tuning to the respective fuselage. The 30mm spinner has its own centre piece which cannot be combined with the other spinner caps.

The Z-Spinner contains a spinner cap (diameter 30mm) made of white plastic (very easy to paint), milled aluminium centre piece with integrated mount for tension cone, special prop rubber for folding the propeller blades, mounting screws for spinner cap and propeller blades.

The diameter of the spinner cap is 32 mm. The centre distance (d) for this spinner is 28 mm. This means that the diameter of the propeller blades is reduced by 14 mm (0.55″). Example: a propeller with 12″ diameter effectively has a diameter of 11.45″ at this centre piece (the size specifications for folding propellers always refer to the use of a centre piece with centre distance d=42 mm).
