Robbe 8570 HC3-Xtreme
The HC3 Xtreme is a compact, high-quality flybarless system (Rigid) for controlling all current types of helicopter with flybarless rotor heads.
Helicopter models without a paddle are significantly more agile and sprightly thanks to their reduced weight and deliver about 15 % more performance. When used with the HC 3-Xtreme this gives huge performance, and all the setup work for the paddle mechanism is no longer needed.
The precision in this whole area is remarkable, both for extremely dynamic manoeuvres (F3N-style), display manoeuvres (F3D), and stability when hovering. All the figures are flown on track, i.e. without any disturbing influences and with maximum engagement.. Thanks to the intelligent and optimised control algorithms this is achieved with minimum setup effort!
Using the latest generation high-quality silicon MEMS-gyros, the HC3- Xtreme has total 3D capability and also includes a very high quality ultra-fast tail gyro. A further external gyro is not necessary. Moreover a balanced torque controll was implemented. The further increase in holding power for the tail was achieved by linking the tail gyro internally to the pitch data from the rotor head control.
Of course the system is also suitable for paddle-free scale helicopters (two-blade and multi-blade), as well as for other paddle-free helicopters such as trainers etc
It is also possible to use it for helicopters with electric or combustion engines.
TheHC3-Xtreme specifically does not have any horizontal or position stabilisation, so is fully eligible for competitions.
The main rotor gyro eliminates all rigid head characteristics which gives optimum steering sensitivity and precision.
All common analogue, digital and brushless servos are supported, as well as the ultra-fast narrow pulse tail servos (760µs) for the tail (e.g. robbe- Futaba servos S 9256 or BLS 251). All common types of swashplate incl. four swashplate servos (H1, H3-90°, H3-120°, H3-140°, H4-90°, H4-90°+45°) are supported, as well as virtua swashplate rotation.
The CNC-milled aluminium casing and the high quality design effortlessly match up to the current quality standards of major helicopter mnufacturers..
Its compact construction and the multiple ways of building it in, enable its use in almost any helicopter, from micro-helicopters to the 3.5 m scale helicopter.
- Setup effort is reduced to a minimum, thanks to, among other things, the clear separation of the sensitivity settings for main and tail gyros in independent additional channels.
- A direct USB connection for rapid programming; the easy-use setup software is included.
- The connector cables between the receiver and the HC 3-Xtreme have connectors both ends
- The HC 3-SX is/will be adapted for connection to receiver systems with serial pulse emissions SP, such as, for example, the robbe FASST receiver R6007SP, which reduces the receiver connection to a single cable.. (The engine/throttle servo output is available at the HC3-Xtreme.
- A software upgrade to connect the device to the Futuba S-BUS System as well as other satellite receivers will be released soon.
- The HC 3-Xtreme comes with a Flash memory and this means it can be updated to the most recent software version while in use. Therefor the system is open and can be updated to new software versions and new helicopter mechanics.
