Ready-to-use special fuel for car model engines / RC Nitro car (glow ignition)

Application
We have added 16 per cent nitromethane, 9 per cent methanol and 10 per cent Molsyn 40 K-E to this special fuel based on bio-ethanol. This fuel is therefore more environmentally friendly than conventional methanol-based fuels and it is possible to ship this special fuel within Germany.

This special fuel is suitable for all glow ignition engines and should not be mixed with other fuels or oils.

Due to the relatively comparable physical properties of our bio-ethanol-based special fuel to conventional methanol fuels, only a slight lubrication of the fuel-air mixture at the carburettor is required.

To do this, please set the correct fuel quantity for full throttle running with an engine at operating temperature as follows:

If your carburettor is set to a comparable methanol mixture (concerns the proportion of nitro and oil), first turn the full throttle mixture adjustment screw (VGGS) out by 360 degrees (greasing).

Now start the fine adjustment to achieve the maximum power and maximum speed at full throttle.

If the engine performance collapses after a short full throttle run, the setting is too lean and the VGGS should be turned out in 45 degree increments.

If the engine struggles to reach its maximum speed at full throttle or stutters, the setting is too rich and the VGGS should be turned in by 45 degree increments.

Finally, we recommend turning the VGGS out by a further 45 degrees to protect the engine from excessive thermal loads.

Next, please adjust the idle mixture adjustment screw (LLGS) and the air gap adjustment screw (LSS) as follows:

If the engine stalls when idling, turn the LLGS out in 45 degree increments (greasing). If the engine is slow to come up to speed when accelerating, turn the LLGS in by 45 degree increments (lean).

Use the LLS to set the desired engine speed for idling. Turning the LLS in increases the speed and turning it out reduces the speed.

The fine adjustment is considered complete when the engine idles stably at low speed and quickly reaches maximum speed when accelerating.

Glow plugs labelled ‘Medium’ or ‘Hot’ can be used for this fuel. At outside temperatures below 15°C, the engine should be preheated before starting.

We generally advise against adding castor oil due to the resulting combustion deposits.

This speciality fuel is only intended for use in internal combustion engines specified in Article 2(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/1628.
